We had a great food and plenty of it. The potluck was a huge success, and we had some wonderful Oktoberfest beer from two local craft breweries. The TOAD’s beer brats were fantastic.

With a crowd less than 10% of March Moto Madness this was more like an old school club campout where everyone throws in enough cash to cover expenses so we can hang out and enjoy each other’s company. All but a few were prior guests for the MMM and the new faces are making plans to join us in March.

We missed our friend Larry Yager and his mad crew of Pan America riders. Last we heard they were having a ball out in Montana.

With the small crowd we never printed a schedule, we set it each morning at the rider’s meeting with input from our riders. Friday afternoon we had the slow race in front of the barn, followed by the limbo. For the record the guy on the e-bike actually won as Rob never attempted the last and lowest bar that the e-rider knocked down. Perhaps we’ll call it a draw and have a rematch in 12 months.

https://www.madelyntallent.com/Saturday night we were treated to an incredible talent in the form of a 21 year old singer / songwriter by the name of Madelyn Tallent. Madelyn was on America’s Got Talent. Someday she will be a household name, and we’ll all be able to say we saw her when. We couldn’t ask her fast enough to come back in March. We look forward to sharing her talents to a larger audience.

With most of the attendees having multiple visits to March Moto Madness we use this opportunity to discuss our plans for the site and March Moto Madness 2027. The new dining annex was very well received and we’re looking foward to dedicating the space the tent used to take for people to meet and mingle.

We also decided that Oktober Madness will remain a “small batch” rally, like that bar on TV where “everyone knows your name.” We’re going to promote it at MMM and send out a few reminders but so long as we can cover cost, we’re good to go.

Oktober Madness will always be the second weekend in October 7-10 2027
