Tent Campaing at MMM

20 years ago March Moto Madness got its start when a few buddies went tent camping in the forest. We worry that the old school rider traveling and living off their motorcycle are being squeezed out of the best events by price and the RV’s travel trailers, pickup and generators running all night long. In the spirt of the first MMM, we have dedicated the south field to the comfort of tent campers. Moto Camp Nerd has made it possible for riders who arrive on their motorcycle with all their gear onboard to purchase a rally ticket at a discount and we’re reserving a very nice, quite motorcycle only field for your enjoyment.
Tent campers may, with very few exceptions, such as the track or vendor spaces, set up their tent anywhere they wish. We have designated the south field as “nylon only by three wheels or less.” We’re in the process of adding a small pavilion, some picnic tables and a fire pit, with a plans for a solar powered facility for charging devices. There is no requirement to be in the south field but if you want peace, quiet and nothing but bikes this is your spot.
There are two glamping opportunities. If you ride a Yamaha, Yamaha will be setting up their central tent and village in the south field, details are here.
ADVBOUND will also be offering glamping tents with all you need for a great time.
We do ask that if you are not going to arrive on your motorcycle with your camping gear that you purchase a regular ticket. If you do not arrive on your bike with your gear you will not qualify for the discount and you will be asked to pay the difference in cash or admission will not be allowed. If you arrive on your bike and your buddy has your tent in his truck you do not qualify. If you unload your bike, strap on camping gear and ride it in you’ll make us very cranky and yes, we’ve been asked if that’s ok. It is not. Our goal is to welcome that lone rider or small group of friends who want an old school experience at the old school price.
